Advertising Week’s last day was my favorite because it started with sharing time with my dear Laurie Lam. Laurie always tells the story of how we met, and it reminds me of the empowerment and value of being seen. ✨
From the moment she literally saw me from her car while I was walking in Cannes, Laurie has always cheered for me and my amazing team of women (including my mom, whom Laurie always celebrates in my posts about her, and yesterday, they finally met 💖). It’s such a powerful thing when someone truly sees you and wants to see you shine the way you do with me. It shows your genuine drive to uplift our community and aligns so beautifully with the brand you represent, E.L.F. BEAUTY. I’m thankful for it, and I hope everyone has a Laurie in their life. You’ve inspired and supported me more than you know. Love you!
It was also lovely hearing from Nora LaTorre at Eat Real Certified, who shared that she adds personal moments, like therapy sessions or school pick-ups, to her work calendar so her team feels empowered to do the same. That mindset connects perfectly with how we work at CROING l Creative Agency: creating space for both life and creativity. We’re constantly rethinking work norms, especially for women, because those standards weren’t originally designed with us in mind. ✨
Lastly, it was so nice connecting with Meghan Johnson, Emily Cohen, Alyssa Callahan, Abigail Epane-Osuala, MBA, Hilary Fischer-Groban, Alia Seraj, Priyanka Jain, Hania Faridi, Kelly Sweeney, Tom Henshaw, Eric Edge, Jon Francis, Kate Schoff, Kimberly Landry Wallengren, Tanya De Poli
Now heading to LA for a dream event, inspiring meetings, and some time off to show my mom the city I used to call home. 🩷✈️
